Title:  Technical Lead/Designer, Regulatory Submission Automation

 

Description:

Collection of adverse event information on medical devices is mandated by Medical Device Reporting (MDR) requirements of the Food Drug and Cosmetics Act (FD&C Act) (21 USC 360i), and comes primarily from manufacturers, user facilities, importers and voluntary reporters. Currently a majority of these reports are entered manually by data entry contractors. The electronic Medical Device Reporting (eMDR) Automation project provides the capability for electronic data entry and processing of medical device adverse event reports. The project utilizes Health Level Seven (HL7) Individual Case Safety Report (ICSR) standard to receive medical device adverse events (MDRs). eMDR utilizes the FDA Gateway, an agency-wide entry point for all electronic submissions, to receive electronic MDRs.

As part of this project submission of eMDR from JNJ to FDA was automated by developing a solution and providing a dashboard as a single point of access for all data being related and reporting system for delayed response from FDA.

GPSG is the Supply Chain IT for Pharma Sector of JNJ which takes care of complete Supply Chain starting from Procurement from Vendor through Payment from Customer. Integration landscape uses webMethods to integrate 50+ external partners sending 20+ Business Standard Documents using Multiple Global standards like EDI, Flat file, XML using highly secured/restricted protocol like AS2/https/sftp exchanging/distributing data across 30+ applications like Batch/Material/Vendor Master hosted on multiple technical systems like Oracle/Mainframe/SAP/XI/Java App and being responsible for transmitting and translating Business Critical data like Orders/ASN/Invoice/Payment/ Returns/ PO Ack/ EBS/ Lockbox. Integration scope includes 150+ interfaces running on 2 Integration Servers hosted in 2 different regional Data Centers and exchanging data using P2P and Pub-Sub architecture. System being Business Critical because of the high valued transactions (Multi M$ Transactions) and being GXP/SOX/WICO compliant because of transmitting Restricted Quality/Financial/Personal data.

Description:

End of Maintenance for webMethods 6.5 was declared to be 2010 March. Johnson & Johnson having most of its integrations on 6.5 needed to be attended with priority before slipping out the EOM Support. Having SAP as the primary ERP and more that 300 Integrations connecting to SAP for all business transactions were at impact due to the change in SAP adapter to ART Model. This project was a factory model upgrading more than 500 Integrations across JNJ involving more that 30 resources working from multiple geographical locations. Expected result was to upgrade the integrations along with that having new design guidelines implemented and redevelopment of all SAP Adapter components.

 

Responsibilities:

·          Assessing impact of upgrade by.

·          Estimating effort for the initiative and working closely with customer to kick off .

·          Streamlining upgrade process by defining guidelines and standards for upgrade.

·          Designing Factory model and defining execution process to deliver project.

·          Working closely with Software AG on issues and bugs related to product.

·          Doing project management for the initial 2 projects of Upgrade in factory approach and closely monitoring deliveries.

Description:

As part of automating the HRIT operation of Johnson & Johnson there was an initiative to integrate 250+ opCos to exchange HR Related data. System landscape included 5 Integration servers running in 4 regions transforming data in 150 Languages. Project execution involved 70+ Developers working in various geographical locations. TO keep track of changes Version Control system was a need which was not offered as out of the box feature by webMethods. IBM Rational clearcase was chosen to be used as VCS tool and was integrated with webMethods to allow developers to check in/out through wM Developer and maintaining the versions in backend.

Description:

The objective of the SRT Asset Tracking Project is to provide the Motorola Global Service and Repair Organization an automated Repair Asset Tracking capability that can be deployed globally. The SRT solution will enable Consumer/Customer and Device Case Management, the ability to identify and authorize Devices for repair before they enter the Service and Repair Network and the ability to track end-to-end Device movement. It will also form the foundation for all Siebel enabled capabilities for the

Motorola Global Service and Repair going forward, as well as complement additional tools developed to support key processes. The SRT Asset Tracking application will integrate with key Motorola legacy systems and will have the ability to interface with external Partner/Customer systems. The project implements PUB-SUB, WebService and FTP to achieve the goal.

Description:

This project aims to upgrade webMethods integration infrastructure to v6.5 due to product support constraints and also to increase the capacity of hardware by 50 % and to reduce downtime by 40 % by Q3 2007-08.So the complete webMethods Infrastructure upgraded to 6.5.

It includes various testing initiatives also - performing Unit Testing in DEV environment, Regression testing in TEST environment to verify existing integration and their compatibility with the webMethods v6.5..

Title: Developer, GLIP

 

Description:

The purpose of this integration(Outbound) is to extract the shipment records from the shipment staging tables on EDW database and translate the records to EDI defined Flat File format to be sent to EDI host. The flat file format is a customized format in which the shipment records are sent. The Webmethods Integration picks the records from the EDW DB and generates the Flat File which is further used by the EDI Translator. CorpEDI translator translates the Flat file generated by WebMethods and prepares the EDI Document. This integration was implemented for the EDI Documents 858 (Shipment) and 250(Receipt).

 

For Inbound the EDI Translator translates the EDI Documents and generates the Flat Files. WebMethods integration picks the Flat Files from the host then extracts the Records using corresponding Flat File schema and Inserts the records into the EDW Database. For both Inbound and Outbound Pub-Sub and FTP approaches are used for the transferring Data from one host to another.

This project intends to rewrite all the Integrations running in V3 and V4 to V6.

Though the architecture is specific to 6.1 still some EAI Integrations were running in V3 and V4 .

Because of the Product support constraint and to enhance the performance the Organization planned to upgrade all the Integrations to V6. As the functionality of V3 and V4 differs from V6 it was required to achieve the same solution as V3 and V4 by developing Integrations in V6.
